DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROJECT
Back

The Cobb Judicial Circuit Domestic Violence Project is a specialized project of the Victim Witness Unit and was established to act as a coordinating entity to unify the community against domestic violence. To this end, the project’s main focus is in establishing and maintaining a training curriculum for law enforcement in our community, as well as implementing an aggressive community awareness campaign related to domestic violence. The education of both the citizens and law enforcement officers of our community in dealing with domestic violence issues will greatly enhance our ability to combat this most difficult issue. Domestic Violence is not merely a social or family issue - it is a crime! By providing the community with resources needed to help fight this crime, we can all strive to help stop the violence.

The staff of this project is available for public speaking engagements and training opportunities. We are here to work with and for the community of Cobb County in the fight against domestic violence.

This project is a program under the direction of Pat Head, District Attorney, Cobb Judicial Circuit, and Kim McCoy, Director, Victim Witness Division.
