 CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH

Each pinwheel displayed represents a child victim of physical assault or sexual abuse in which criminal action was sought against the perpetrator.

For the year 2004, a total of 2,493 cases involving physical and sexual abuse and neglect of children were reported to the Department of Family and Children’s Services in Cobb County

Statewide, nearly 80,000 pinwheels will be displayed in honor, memory, and recognition of Georgia’s abused and neglected children.
